Remembering Daniel ~ The Flag

On August 25, 2008, member's of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, that I worked with, took it upon themselves to honor Daniel's life with an American flag.
Together with the Academy Staff and Cadets from the current class, an American flag was raised over the Sheriff's STARS Center and Regional Headquarters in
Whittier, CA. Daniel had been there many times to visit and to train in the boxing ring. The Academy Staff of six were also present a few days later for Daniel's funeral as
Color Guard and pallbearers who folded the flag for presentation. Words cannot express the graditude for all those invloved in such a beautiful gesture. I was extremely
proud to have served with such honorable men and women and I'm sure it made Daniel very proud as he watched from above.
